The Who, What, When, Where & Why…

Karin is second generation LA-born, and the third in a generation of Los Angeles writers. In the 1930’s, her grandfather worked for MGM and RKO as a screenwriter. Her mother started her career midlife as successful TV writer in the 1980’s.

Growing up in Pacific Palisades, California in the 60’s and 70’s in a rustic canyon amid a mix of hippy artists, and conservative …against the backdrop of the Vietnam war and surfer culture, the tone was set for a childhood or privilege, decadence, freedom, and a love of wild places.

Within the sycamore-shaded homes, emerge tales of betrayal, abandonment, addiction, risk and resilience. An era when ignorance was bliss, and consequences were everything or nothing at all.
